The Battle of the Bands was an exceptionally fun show. It was great to have peope there to support us. There was a little bitterness by all on acount of our placement but through it all I hope we were graceful losers.

We are going to be putting down a track for a HST production soon. It is dull but it will afford us the opportunity to sell our cd's at the play. We have applied to play at the Montgomery County Battle of the Bands. We'll see how that goes down. Hope to write and record a few more songs before we all head our seperate ways.

Adam is at my house right now. He's the first basist we ever had. Well, actually, Ben was the first basist, but he sucked so Adam replaced him. Anyways, Adam is now in the Air Force so he had no choice but to quit. But during the occasional breaks he gets we always get together and reminisce of old times. So that's what we're doing. Sort of. I'm just gloating so that Ben feels more terrible about being on vacation while Adam is here. Hah.

Friday was fun. I think we all had a lot of fun. It was good to hear the audience didn't want us to leave despite my incredibly hoarse voice. Thanks to the few that came out tp support us among all the ska kids....good times. I think I speak for the whole band when I say that: we had a great time and we thought it both amusing and really nice that there were people singing along with us during the breakdowns...thanks guys...sang better than I did. I got to talk to a couple people after the show. Appreciate the support. Thanks to Jimmy (Peter) for hanging around and listening to us. Wish you could have joined us at IHOP.

We might be doing a fairly big show/weekend event coming up at the end of January. Not sure yet, but more details on that as they come.

Hey. First off I want to congratulate you all on good performences. i was pleased with all the bands, although not delight with the way some of the audience behaved themselves. Of course I'm not trying to sound like a facist parent, but some people could have shown much more self control and respect.

The other thing i wanted to bring up was vandalism in the Girls bathroom. The perpetrators scribbled I Love Jesus and marking around it saying "thats not how you spell it". Either way, it is vandalism, and they used the pink sharpie marker that they took from the door.

I do know that it happens to be a group of girls. here is how I can best describe them. One had kind of blondish and was wearing a gamma rays shirt and really baggy jeans. (said gamma gamma hey! on the back). The other had long black hair and was wearing the iron maiden shirt. PLEASE foreward this to you other bands members and friends, and let me know if you know who they are! ( i know I saw one talking to Jeff Srole, and Jared may know them). They were also the ones who kept screaming disorderly at random times during the show.

I could really use your help in finding out who these people are, as I am going to be made to pay for it. Thanks a lot.

I just dropped my 1056+ dollar Gibson SG specialty guitar on the tile floor due to strap failure and put an absolutely HUGE crack in it. It split the body all the way through...I want to kill myself.

The things I want to do right now:

1. Say the "F" word as loud and as long as I possibly can.

2. Throw myself off the Dover cliffs

3. Suck the noxious and deadly fumes from my cars tailpipe like a baby penguin sucks the throwup from it's parents throat.

4. Swallow a knife

5. Eat battery acid until it eats away the inside of my body cavity and causes my slow and painful death.

6. Tear my eyes by threading rusty guitar strings through them.

7. Run for three miles and not take my inhaler so that the resulting suction caused by my harried attempts to bring air into my body would bring my lungs out my throat.

8. Castrate myself so that I illiminate the threat of passing on my stupidity to any possible posterity.

9. Eat @#$% and die.

10. I'm running out of evil things I want to do.

Ok guys. The show is this friday. Please read this whole email carefully and foreward them to your other band members. Heres what I got so far.

-Please remind your band members to be @ St. James church between 6 and 6:30 to help set up the area. I'm asking all band members to be there before the show to set up, and when the show ends to help clean up. This dosent take very long, and with band members' help it will be very quick. Band members dont have to work/volunteer during the show if they dont want to, but if you can let me know which ones do want to help let me know.

Please write me back asap, or give me a call. There will probobly be one more email before the show with equipment list and some other set info.

I hope you guys are ready to rock it to the max...I got a series of emails from Benjamin Kellogg, the dude setting this whole thang up. here's some of the info i've recieved.......

The bands playing are Paddywack, Brent's Life Sucks, Stompin' Grounds, and The Players...

As I remember Stompin' Grounds is modern rockish, Paddywack we all heard @ churchill's B. to the B. and most of us have seen Brent's Life Sucks on some day before today. The Players are really good, as long as they're the same band i remember from Merritthon.....

Always a pleasure it is to write about my most beloved friends, my 'second family', my musical companions whom I hold in such high esteem. Well, really, Ben just told me to write an entry. Anyways, to continue...I am always wondering how I fit in with these guys, as I am the least musically inclined of them all. Fortunately, that doesn't mean I never get attention. In fact I get a decent amount of attention, or rather, a good deal of scowls and reprimands regarding my inconsistent tempo. Nonetheless, the memories and experiences that I've gained as their drummer make my participation well worth the ridicule I endure. Some examples:
Good memory: The day Daniel started wearing a mountain dew soda box on his head while playing his guitar.
Bad memory: The show in College Park when the vocal microphone stopped operating. The guys swore they were ready to lynch us.
Good memory: The one time Ben was off tempo and not me.
Bad memory: The hour and a half commute to Battle of the Bands when upon arrival, we discovered my cymbals were left at home.
Good memory: The day Mitch arrived on time for band practice.
Bad memory: Choosing the name 'Niagara' for our band.
Good memory: Exploring the ancient 'city' of Brunswick at two in the morning.
Bad memory: Wrapping a hose around my neck after 106 takes during a recording session.
Good memory: Driving around the traffic circles 50 times (we counted in Spanish, too. Impressive, eh?).
Bad memory: Not having band practice for a month.
Good memory: Forming sweat pools at the last practice we had.
I'll stop there before the list gets boring and redundant. If anything on the list seems inconceivable, then you should come to our shows and ask us about them in person. Then, if you buy our cd, or at least pretend to be nice to us, we'll definitely affirm that everything is in fact true. Oh, it was Ben's idea to name us 'Niagara'. I'd rather go with 'Loogie', but no one listens to the ignorant drummer these days. Well, I must be off now. Purchase cds from ME if you want the good ones.

Today we enjoyed a thoroughly envigorating practice session. After practicing once in the past month in a half we all got together today at the Rabils and seriously rocked it out. Mitch suggested that we never practice again because honestly, I don't think we have ever played as well as we did today...It was fun. I jumped on Richards drum set and sweated all over the place.
